Its a very powerful Brushless truck, fun to drive and bash with. In all honesty though the only durable thing about this truck is the framework. The drivetrain and steering system will break after every use. I have had this truck for 6 months so I can tell you from experience. The ESC and Motor are indeed very powerful, however the Differentials are not made for this much power. Every time you do a wheelie the center Differential transfers all the power to the front dif box and wheels. When this happens the ball bearings in the gearbox break down and fall apart leading to a wobble of the Bevel gear which shreds everything apart. I have had to replace the Differential boxes 25 times @ $15 each from URCHobby.
The Steering System falls apart to easy. When I first got the truck I did bash it pretty hard. The servo saver snapped. Once I fixed it and the gear boxes I decided to take it easy on the truck because obviously it cant handle high jumps and the wheelies. Just from driving it fast along the grass it would bend or strip out screws from the steering system.
Also on side note the wheels are not 17MM hex. So they tend to strip out and destroy a rim every once and a while.
The only time this truck will survive running a full battery through it is if you cap off one connector and run 1 Battery at a time @ half the power.
I am not a Traxxas or HPI fanboy trying to put down Redcat, I figured I would try Redcat since prices looked good and was let down. I have the Earthquake 8e and a Backdraft 8e, both have been nothing but a drain on my wallet for gearboxes and steering parts.
Point being this truck is not made to handle the power and speed of the Motor and ESC with 4S lipo. HPI and Traxxas have redesigned gear boxes for this amount of power. With how much you will spend replacing parts just spend the extra and go with HPI or Traxxas.
