This is the first and only mat i have owned my self, but of course i have hit from many on countless driving ranges that i have been on over the years. I have had this product for about a month and i would say i make 50-80 swings on it a day. I bought this mat with the net return sports net, and put both on my back porch. Everytime i step outside i hit balls. So eventhough i've had it a short time its gotten plenty of use. To date there is absolutley no wear at all. The mat shows no sign of use that i can see. The turf is soft but firm and in fact sometimes in the morning i'll walk out bare foot and hit balls from it. You can actually place a Tee into the mat and hit your driver. Mine also came with a hole for a rubber tee of the type you see on driving ranges.
