Balance bikes reviews are tricky, as a vast majority of them have one fatal flaw, the review the concept of balance bikes rather than the bikes themselves. Essentially even a poorly constructed balance bike will be loved by most kids and help the learn to balance a pedal bike, but what does that tell us about the bike itself? Well, the problem lies in the fact that very parents actually have experience with more than one balance bike, therefore they have nothing to compare them to. As a bike enthusiast, and parent of three, I set out to find the best balance bike for my dollar and after having my kids (and my friends kids) ride seven different bikes, I can honestly say that not all balance bikes are created equal. Pros:
1. Well-built: While the weight capacity is only 55 lb. the BicycooGT, it's obvious that it's a quality build.
2. Hand Brake: Kids don't really need a hand brake, but it's nice to have one as they get older.
3. Looks dang cool: Compared to the others, Joovy's bikes actually have a sense of design to them. My daughter actually preferred the look of the GT while my son the BMX.
4. Smooth ride: It's smooth street tires are sticky enough to provide traction, yet slick enough to allow for a smooth ride. The extra-wide tires on the bike also help kids to balance, but honestly, they look dang cool.

Cons:
1. The grips are made of foam, instead of the desired rubber, plus they are a bit too small. The kids however didn't complain, but we noticed that they had trouble keeping their hands on the grips.
2. Seat posts only adjust 1.25 inches, so you don't get as much life out of the bike. The GT is also a smaller bike than the BicycooBMX, so if you have a taller kid, but want a modern looking bike, I would go for the BicycooGT.

Final thoughts: Great bike for a preschoolers age 3 to 5.
