This Kotobukiya Iron Man "statue" (even the box itself states it is a model) is well sculpted and the detail is terrific. Very solid paint job as well, and the light up eyes and chest are a real nice addition. So why not five stars? Well here is why...

1: The plastic figure feels cheap. When I was assembling it I was worried I was going to break it. Especially when I was trying to attach the upper torso to the lower body. It is difficult to attach and I kept waiting for the figure to break.

2: The box shows Iron Man with his hands open, repulsors ready to go. The figure itself has Iron Man with closed fists. How awesome it would have been to have the lighted effect featured on his open-handed repulsors.

3: I paid about $60, but I see them regularly selling for around $100. I am sorry, but for that kind of money I expect a true statue sculpted out of more durable materials. This piece seems overpriced to me.

My review may seem negative, I am trying to be impartial here. As a collector of Iron Man statues, I really do love the piece. I just feel like Kotobukiya had a chance to hit a home run with this sculpture, but fell short.
