Hot Toys Avengers Black Widow Movie Masterpiece Series MMS 178 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure Review

I began collecting the Hot Toys 1/6 scale Avengers with Avengers Figure Movie Masterpiece 1/6 HAWKEYE. The attention to detail, and amazing likeness to Jeremy Renner, of that figure convinced me to continue buying the series. I was also very satisfied with Avengers Figure Movie Masterpiece 1/6 NICK FURY and Avengers Movie Masterpiece Action Figure 1/6 CAPTAIN AMERICA was very good. Black Widow is the fourth I have received and she is also incredibly well done. In fact, I like her figure much better than Captain America!

This figure is distinct from the rest of the set in that she has actual rooted hair (like a Barbie, actually), rather than shaped from vinyl. I think this was a good choice on the part of the designers - she looks more like Scarlet Johansson because of it and more feminine than she would have with the "helmet hair". Her costume is replicated down to the smallest detail, including the wedge heel boots she wore and thigh holstered guns. The guns are removable and she has multiple sets of hands/fists for posing with them. I prefer posing her with the Chitauri blaster, but she also has a set of hands "lit up" in blue like her stingers. There are endless posing possibilities due to the many points of articulation and extreme flexibility of her costume.

Overall, the quality of these figures is exceptional. They make a great collectible for fans of the Avengers - film or comics. I am looking forward to the rest of the set. Highly recommended, and please see my pictures of the actual figure I received.
