Both this train set for my son. In the local train stores in California the price ran from $475-$650. My son was having a crying fit to get it. I finally was able to convince him to let me to let me order this train set and the other one he wanted the Thomas and Annie and Clarabel so he can get 2 at one small price. My son was waiting patiently until it arrived. The package came through Fed Ex. fed ex gave me the capability to have the package sent to a local location due to the fact that I was on location at the time and would not be back until a few hours after the package arrived. I went to the local fed ex location in Laguna Niguel, CA. the staff was very friendly and professional. The box came neatly packed and secured and arrived in a faster time then I expected. My son opened the box. Screamed in the store and had everybody to turn around, hug the package and kissed it like 4 times. He was so happy and excited. The package was in excellent condition when arrived with all working parts, and easy to assemble instructions. Thanks Bachmann Industries for making my child so happy and Amazon for the packaging and very reasonable price of the train. I spent $250 total compared to what would have cost me hundreds more. I recommend this as a money saving opportunity. The product is definitely the size that is shown but bigger. Your kids will love it, My son surely does.
