1st, I have a flysky GT3c remote that I switched out vs the stock remote/receiver. I was not able to get this setup correctly until I called castle. What i had to do was change my transmitter/remote to reverse on ch2. Thats when the ESC accepted the remote/receiver. Next I had to switch 2 of the wires around to get full power cranked out of the mamba. I dont like that 2 of my colored wires from the motor, dont match the 2 wires going to the ESC. But it is the only way it would work with the flysky. As far a performance, The motor does run alot cooler then the VXL. It may crank a bit harder then the traxxas brushless motor but not by much. Im happy with it but maybe my expections were too high. For 200$ i cant complain I guess.
